Filmed over the course of 23 years, The Betrayal (Nerakhoon) presents the epic journey of Thavisouk Phrasavath and his family from war-torn Laos to the hardships of immigrant life on the mean streets of New York. It is an astonishing tale of perseverance.

Directed by Ellen Kuras, co-directed by Thavisouk Phrasavath.
